How do i get oil off block paving?

Post by james911rs »

Question says it all really, had a bit of an oil leak on the Porsche after a good thrash and Im hoping ive just burst an oil pipe. However i had to drive it into the garage and have left a 30m line of oil up my block paving.
Can anyone recommend any chemical/solvent i can use with the pressure washerto remove it.
I tried petrol and it didn't touch it.
thanks

Biological washing powder, hot water, a stiff brush and lots of patience...

I did this to my parents in law's freshly layed light coloured drive, the 911 is now banned from their house...

I was reliably informed by a block paver that neat washing up liquid does the trick on small marks

If all fails, lift the blocks up and turn them over, hopefully the blocks are the same on both sides.

I've had success with cleaning oil off non-sealed concrete floors with a laundry product called K2S - it's a solvent which soaks into the stain and then a powder carried with the solvent soaks up the loosened oil and it can then be brushed or vacuumed away.
Seems to work well and I keep a couple of tins in the garage, just in case....
I'm sure there's something similar in the UK.
