Reims GP Revival - anyone been before?

Post by PSut »

Hi guys,

I'm considering a trip to the Reims Grand Prix Revival in September. Has anyone been to this event before? I'm having difficulty finding where I can buy tickets, unsure if I just do this on the day.

thanks

Isn't that another clash with 'Castle Hedingham'? (weekend 12th Sept?).

Oh and I'd heard that it was a bit 'static'. Not much real racing, just a few parades. I guess it's bigger each year though. Does look quite appealing but I'd probably go to the castle if it is the same weekend.

Ah... it does clash unfortunately. The missus is keen to visit Reims for a champagne tour, and I thought this might be the ideal weekend (not quite sure it is what she has in mind though!).

They moved it fwd so as not to clash with Spa 6 Hours (end of Sept), and to hope for better weather. I was due to go in 08, but it was a washout, so skipped it. Still aim to go one year.

Reims is very easy / quick to get to, and of course as well as soaking up the history and seeing some great cars (good truranout each year so far), you can fill your trunk with champers to bring home :drunken:

I had press passes.
I believe it's about 30 Euros for a weekend ticket.
