Further progress this weekend, and the End is in Sight.
Reluctantly, I deceided to have the suspension set-up by a pro. I do like to tackel most jobs myself, but after the off at Loton and the less wayward run at Shelsley I entrusted the job to McClurg Motorsport run by Sean, an old hillclimb and now HRCC driver and prep specialist.
He has dialed in a friendly chassis but advised that htere are much more tweeks to go to have a nervey but sharp chassis!
I will try the friendly version this year than you.
White the chassis was awy, I finished the body off where it hit the wall while I was a passenger.
I had no chance of matching the gel-coat Red of the body, so elected to decorate the damage with a heavy disguise.
The races last year gave me a taste of a windy ride with a lot of buffeting to the helmet. A flyscreen I'm told will fix this, so I've added one and decorated that too with our favorite symbol.
The final step soon then: tuning the Webers.
I will give HiTech a go as they are local and come with good recommendations from those on here and others.
Time will tell if they can get rid of the pops and bangs. I just want a trouble-free smooth quiet engine with about 225 of both please.
