Thanks Nige but worst case scenario if the bill comes to £50 or more then I'm fine, so thanks for your kind offer but I'll be fine

Cheers

What about the children's Christmas presents, the wife's perfume? A fiver can make all the difference at this time of year. Seriously if you are proper short let me know, even if its more than a fiver ;)

Children's Christmas presents! They get a five minute ride in Dad's car and a satsuma if they are lucky. Wife's got loads of perfume already so no worries there. Sorted, I am.

Sorry all, I would have liked to come as I thought it about time I meet up with the DDK crowd but unfortunately I have a funeral to go to near Bristol earlier in the day and cannot make it. The Porsche needs a good outing too!!
Another time.

Well then, Helen and Larry DID turn up in the Merc, and Jane and Richard left their 997 at home as well. These new cars clearly are made for looking pretty ey  .

Sladey was old skool by aircooled 911, Frazer (Dr Rock) came in a 3.2 carrera and yours truly in my winterporsche, a 924S.

It was great to meet up and the food was pretty doable as well! The usual DDK banter was flying back and forth and I was still giggling on the way back home.

Fantastic initiative Mark, and wishing the notts massive loads of fun with Porsche related shenanigans!

Take care

Thanks to everyone that came - thoroughly enjoyed the night.

While I was demo-ing my exhaust to Fraser in the car park I set off the car alarm next to me. Then did it again when I drove off. Would have been funny if I hadn't thought it was mine and spent ages furiously pressing my own plipper.

Cheers

Glad you all had a good time, I rolled in at about 3:30am this morning after a jolly fine Christmas party. I left the rest of the crew in the casino, they then left at 6am this morning! Needless to say I'm in the office today but no show from the others yet.

Thanks for organising this Sladey, good food and great company. really REALLY wish i had brought the 997 (garage queen ) as in the end we finally arrived home about 2am in a recovery truck as the Merc's electrical system decided it had a fault so shut down everything leaving us stranded in the middle of Nottingham for 2 and a half hours. :x

Larry didn't have any of the numbers for Merc assist but, luckily due to my 911S breaking down so ofter this year i have the AA on speed dial on my mobile

I think Frazer drove past us on his way home. we were stuck just before a junction & the car being automatic wouldn't even let us push it out of the way :x

bloody modern gadgetry

I'm sorry Helen but that really made me laugh. The Merc looked so gorgeous and posh, and my car looks like a bit of a shed at the moment.

Anyway - sorry you had trouble and glad you got home eventually. You should've given me a ring - I could have towed you to my place so at least you could have waited in the warm

Cheers and thanks for coming

looked back on it now it is quite funny.

we couldn't be towed without lifting the back wheels off the ground as it locked itself in "park" mode. hense we couldn't even push it out of the way of the junction.
