Why not buy new ones? They are only around £100 each.

Hi Nick....where can I get them for this price!? - I'm after 7's and 8's for my track car - am looking for a second set of wheels for wet weather tyres as the Cup Sports are pretty useless in the rain - this sort of price would be perfect!

Thanks

I got mine from Prep fab - 7s & 8s circa £500. They advertise in 911 World,

Nick

I placed an on-line order with Prefab, but after a few days realised that it hadn't been processed. Rang them up and they said the £100 price wasn't available anymore. Am waiting for a response to see what the new rate is.

Can get new Compomotives for £120 +VAT, but just thought I'd ask here to see what was about.
Cheers

I think you can buy them directly from Minilite. I understand your frustration with Prepfab

I have bought some recently from both Prefab and direct from Minilite in Telford. The ones from Minilite came with nuts and centre caps. Price was as competitive as Prefab. I had the same experience with Prefab the web price was not available. However Minilite did not have sufficient wheels in stock at the time so had to use both sources.
Bought 15 x 6 from both and 15 x 7 direct.

I bought a pair of 7" for my Rep direct from Miniite last spring, and they were £220 as I recall, but it was just before a small price increase

Nick,

Yes, I've emailed Minilite as well, will give them a ring in the morning to see what the score is.

Jerry,

Thanks for the info re the centre caps and nuts, and I assume that you got the 7s to fit under the std arch ?
Cheers

Mike,
My shell is a 1972 with a standard front and widened rear arches. (RS Replica)
The 7inch Minilites are part of my rally wheel set and go on the rear. On MSA road events I use 6 inch all round. (It is the widest wheel width allowed) I use 6 inch on the front with 7inch rear for non MSA events. I do however have a set of Fuchs, 7inch front and 8 inch rear which I run for normal road use.
The tyres on the minilites are 6 inch are 185/70 x 15, the 7inch 205/65 x 15. On the Fuchs, 7 inch 195/65 x 15 and 8 inch 215/60 x 15. I have clearance with all these combinations. The closest clearance on the front seems to be between the rear of the front spoiler and the tyre. I would not anticipate you having an issue with 7 inch Minilites on the front providing you don't use a "tall" tyre.
