Hi,

After owning a 914 for eight years I thought it was time I joined DDK. I have a 1970 914/4 in Green with a 2L engine and side shifter fitted by a specialist about seven years ago. It has been off the road for the last five years as I have been distracted by my very young family. However I spoiled myself this year and with the help of a local garage and some parts from Mittelmotor got her MOTd late in the summer. She is running well and is still on the original fuel injection - I was amazed it still worked after five years without use.

I notice that there are two members close to me; one in Farnham and one in Alton. I will keep an eye out for you at weekends.

Finally, I have enjoyed the site and read the 'posts' a few times a week.

Jim

looks a really nice '14

I haven't taken my little boy (he's 3) out in the 914 yet - he calls the 912 the noisy bumpy car so I can't imagine what he'd make of the 914!

Hi Jim

Nice to see you made it on here and more importantly got the car back on the road like you said you were trying to do earlier in the year. I think it will be quite a while until you see mine driving around the hampshire roads though!

Your car looks great in the picture so look forward to seeing it at some point.

Cheers
Nathan

Hi Jimmy. I'm Rod the Farnham member, amazing to know there's a 914 so nearby! I'm in fact in Ewshot so even closer, we'll have to meet up soon ;)

Hi Jimmy,
nice looking car.
I would consider a colour change if I were you. It would be very easy to climb into the wrong car at a UK 914 event !
Not sure I can cope with another green car in the club. :) What with you, Tom and Kevin all having similar looking cars then this is definitely too much of a good thing. Soon you'll be asking me to park at the end of the car park so as not to spoil the line up !!
Look forward to seeing you out in it the Green Brigade

Mine is still wearing original Irish Green L60E , though re-painted a couple of years ago ( and now showing what a poor job they did :( )

Perhaps Kevin could tell us exactly what colour his car is :)

Hi Jimmy,

good to have you on board. I'm based in Wokingham. Normally my car is , but that is in Oxfordshire having open heart (open wallet) surgery at the moment.

I feel a local meet up coming on.

kind regards
Rob
