Potential Scam

Post by woznot »

Noticed this today at http://london.craigslist.co.uk/clt/1315273197.html

seems like the same engine for sale at http://factorytour.net/shop/product_inf ... anguage=en

which is more likely the genuine article!

Was also on Gumtree from 11 August... emailed the guy on both adverts as I was interested (wonder why?) but have had no response to date..

looks like just a number (2) was missed out though. Though one is £ and one $.

Still no reason to not reply to mails though - I hate that!

So, I have had an exchange of emails with the 'advertiser'.
It only took 3 mails to get round to him/her asking for the money - via Western Union of course - and the engine would be mine!
5 times I asked to view the 'goods'; even offered to travel at short notice to view, on the proviso that if I liked what I saw I would give him/her the price in readies, as long as I could take the engine away with me.
As far as I know he/she is still waiting.
He/she wrote to me using the address: lavisonde@yahoo.co.uk
