Just a bit of vid from 'the first bit' ending in a few cars leaving Kirkstone Pass.
Hot66 lent us his camera mount so we filmed the 2 passes - I was leading the last group and to those who could not make C2C, it will make some sense of why we went in such small groups of 5 - it's unedited (we did stop the camera when we occasionally met 5 cars trying to pass 5 Porsches which was interesting with a 1 car passing place and a bit tedious).

Anyway happy memories of the journey over Hardnott and Wrynose and yes it was at real speed  (...it would be an awfully long clip otherwise)

Love the music too !!! I've just had it on loop over the speakers for the past 30 minutes whilst doing the dishes. Could hardly keep my feet still.
What a great song - Who was it ?

Next September is definitely too far away to have another DDk tour !!!??
So much better then a static meet.
Any volunteers - My car now has a heater so I'm fully 4 seasoned !!!

I think these events sum up for me what DDK is all about 8) Us northern DDK'ers try & have a number of these kind of drives throughout the year 8)

They are a local band called Rockitt 88 - who basically cover old rockabilly/surf songs - it is infact the only rockabilly I have in my collection, but I thought it suited the mood and feel of the clip.

http://www.myspace.com/rockitt88

Infact half of them are in a band I'm in - but we don't do covers - all original material....chance for a bit of a plug...called Mostly Hums...guess which one I am  ..if anyone finds themselves in Lancaster on Oct 10th with nothing else on...(no Porsche content)..it isn't how we make a living, just spare time stuff...completely went off thread there

Helen do you know if the photos taken for the mag will be available to view. I doubt it will get used but I know he got a shot of my car that I would like to see.
