The old ones are always the best!

Post by Vic Cohen »

Age is the only connection with Bob Watson and imyself................but anyone with an MFI based early 911, in any doubt as to its performance just go an sit on his rolling road..................have done it once before ,but after major plugs points tappets service at abt 95000 miles, to get the book figs from a never refettled almost 40 year old engine is pretty good HOWEVER went with kinda flat, hesitant motor ............came out with responsive car going better than ever before ..best value for money anywhere !
Thanks Bob

Great news Vic, we will have to test it properly next year at CLM down the Mulsanne straight to see how much you have gained. Bob's the man!

Bob and I share the same age.... :albino:

Years ago now Bob magic'd my 2.4E with S p&B and heads into a great little engine.
E cams are nice.

Hi Vic, hope you're well. I've always been impressed with Bob, he does a great job for really sensible money. Took my 'new' SC over there last summer and he sorted out a low speed hesitation in minutes that a previous Porsche dealer had been chasing for a couple of years (documented in the history). Always worth a power check on the dyno whenever I go to see him.

Good stuff, glad he's still enjoying the drive. Been getting about more often in my SC this year. Still miss the S though, something special about those cars.

I rate Bob too. Always does a brill job and he is 100% straight forward with it which is a feeling I seldom get in the dealings I've had with similar companies in the past....
