However, you will be please to know that my condition is treatable...it all harks back to my early years when the top of the rear strut mounts on my (very rusty) 2002 fell apart accidentally lowering the rear of the car!

So every time I see a lowered car I have stress-related flash backs! It's the sight of those wheels all the way up in the wheel arches. I'm all hot and cold just describing it!

8) Cool van! I really must meet Paul (who owns Typre 2) one day - my Dad and his parents are close friends, so I've met his parents a few times, just never met the man himself. Many many years ago (25+ yrs now!) we had a family break and stayed with his parents. I was about 12 yrs old and Paul was similar age I think. A couple of years later I was hearing stories of how Paul and a mate were stripping and re-building a Beetle in his back garden for a bit of fun in the summer hols! Next thing I heard is he is starting a company and now he seems to be "the man" in VW circles, winning prizes left right and centre. Good luck to him! Just wish I had been wielding spanners in my summer holidays... :(

Paul has been around 'the scene' for many a year. He worked at Karmann Konnection for a while and had a Beige Squareback then.

Over the years his team have built/project managed/designed/produced some wonderful cars.

Plus he's a top guy.

A few of their landmark cars....

Aah a VW 412 - used to have a 1 owner FSH 1 until the local kids vandalised it, I lost interest & the council towed it :crybaby: :crybaby:  ...it was fantastic, auto box, slept 2 in comfort with the seats down & the luggage space was un-bloomin-believable!!!

Still, at least I learnt me lesson, my '14 NEVER lives outside!!
