James has summed it up nicely; but here's a few from me

The cleaner was mopping up as the 917/30 had just been taken off the line up and left two very nice fat black lines across the uber polished floor!

Nice to see you're back James and all went well. Hope you all had a relaxing second half to your trip. The weather looks great from your pics.
Nice images.

Really looking forward to our trip in the S which we are doing in August. Great inspiration for routes in this thread.

What did the three of you take with you in the way of spares / tools ?

I'm thinking :

Litre of oil
fan belt
complete light bulb box
some fuses

Thanks,

Ben.

I carried a pretty comprehensive tool kit + a lot of spares ( just in case). Spares were stuff like coils, points , cdi box, plugs + plug leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap , wheel bearings, fan belt, fuses, bulbs, oil, clutch cable, brake fluid, etc etc ..

Don't forget the legally required stuff like high-vis jackets for all ocupants, warning triangle.

BTW, a lot of my spares are used items I have replaced on my car .... I keep the stuff I remove & put it in the spares box
