Fellow 912 Fetishists,

For those you attending the Classics at the Castle event on Sunday can i say thanks to all for your support.
Especially as the weather was of the p*ss poor variety i doff my hat to you all for a gr8 effort :occasion8:
We had 16 of our flock on display thus -
2 x 912E :)
1 x 1965 with a 911 engine :? (Yes it really is!!)
1 x Hard Window Targa 8)
12 x 1966 to 69 Coupe :) :) :)

OK so not all sixteen 912's were on display at the same time but at least we beat those pesky 914 folks and year on year our numbers are increasing

 to Carl, Martin, Ian and Mark for awards well earned. Being the judge of all this was tough as i loved each and every 912 on the day. They all deserved some kind of award and i hope my token gesture of the 912 keyring will have eased any dissapointment.

912 Folk are the bestest :wav: sho' nuff

Beside which we will always be 1 up on a 911 anyday :laughing6:

Hi Rick,

It was an excellent day (despite the weather) and I'm really pleased I brought my '12 rather than the Passat - it was a close run thing when I looked out of my window in the morning!!

I managed to take a few photos of all the awesome cars, which I am hoping to get round to uploading tomorrow...

Great to meet you and other ddk'ers, and thank you for the keyring :)

Cheers, Adam

Hi Rick

Thanks for organising things. True, the journey was rubbish, the weather was rubbish (for the entire morning), I couldn't find anything to buy (that I could afford!), and I topped the day off by shutting my son's finger in the car door (boy did I feel bad  ), but getting an award at the end of it was a bit of a bonus. 8)

For all those who looked at my car and pointed at the rust, you'll be pleased to know that it's going into the bodyshop on 13 July!

Great to see so many cars on such a day.

Thanks again

Just wanted to add my thanks to Rick for organising the line-up. Was a great day in spite of the grim weather. Nice to meet some fellow 912ers, and took away a nice bonus keyring and award!

My battery nearly cooked itself on the way back, but all part of the fun.

16 912's huh, let's hope we can keep that kind of level up for the future!

It was a good day despite the weather and by the sounds of it everyone enjoyed it anyway, myself included.

New rubbers all round for my car I think as I found out it leaks in quite a few places!! Also I have found the cause of the very annoying squeaking sound to be the suspension strut on the front near side. (I'm sure you all heard me driving out)

Thanks Rick for organising it and it was nice to put some names to faces.
