made a freind :)

Post by Mike Usiskin »

Hi all,

Took the family out for the day in the car, stuck in traffic getting out of town, and a chap on a 1960's BMW motorbike pulls up along side Anni (she's LHD don't forget) starts chatting. Obviously I pay no attention at all as there's a plate glass window next to me and I'm looking f**king amazing, sunnies on... the lot,! even brushed my hair for the occasion
Anyway, Anni thumps my arm, getting my attention to say hello to motorcycle chappie, who says, " I've got one of those!" further traffic ensues so plenty of time to chat
turns out he's drives an 'M' reg (1973/4?) 911T, had it 20 years, same colour but RHD on carbs. he wanted to get his 'sorted out' after driving mine but god... don't carbs go differently!! His is lovely, in great nick as well and lives very locally to me. I gave him several names to take his too, not least Bob Watson for the rolling road and Chris turner for everything else. Hopefully he'll turn up here soonish. These 911's are brilliant aren't they, you met the nicest folk, (apart from Dr architects and those pesky Nor-folk!)

took some snaps to

That's odd - I had almost exactly the same thing about a year ago with a guy on an R6, but I was near Heathrow.
