Fully restored, right hand drive 356C *SOLD*
Having just finished restoring my 356C to the most exacting standard possible with the intention of showing it at a number of classic car events this season, I have decided to sell it instead and use the money for my next project.
I currently have it listed on Ebay, item number 330317347302

I've finally been able to return to the forum, from my Porsche dark place, after selling my 356
Kalvin, you've done an absolutely superb job of restoring that car. I would have loved to have kept it, but the body work was beyond me.
Great work.
P.S. I see you kept the steering wheel, did you find out the make?

Hi again Steven.
I'm glad you approve. I'm quite proud and my 5 year old just loves to cruise up the high street in it. He always has the window down to make sure that everybody can see him.
The steering wheel is Derrington. I had it refurbished by a Luthier who did a stunning job. He was working on a £200,000 violin when I arrived! (So I was careful not to sit on it).
I've put it on Ebay again but as an auction listing this time. If I can't sell it, I might marry it instead. You might find it interesting to look at the 'photographic build history' links on the listing.
Are you back because you've bought another Porsche?

No new Porsche unfortunately...
Fellow member RustBucket pointed out your ebay listing and link to the rebuild images.
As sad as I was to let the car go, it's good to know that it's had the attention it deserved. The car definitely had character and a real desire to get out on the road.
Some cars just seem to have that 'Herbie' spirit about them. I remember going to start it up on a very damp day (after a long absence) and thinking, no way is this going to fire up (my four year old Audi didn't manage) but the 356 turned over. I couldn't believe it!
And Dave Sunderland at Strasse Leeds, said he hadn't driven a stronger 356 in years.
Good work with bringing the rest up to spec.
