Ordering Porsche parts

Post by jury »

Maybe a stupid question but...How do you order parts directly from Porsche?

I followed a link but it looks like you need to subscribe/pay in order to access the catalogue, is this correct?

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

easiest way is to order via your local official porsche centre. many of them are very helpful (and some are not)

I have used guildford OPC and it's like ordering any other porsche parts (double, double, double check the price of what you are getting).

I have also heard that Reading OPC parts are very good.

JCT600 OPC in Leeds are pretty good too - probably your closest OPC?

Yep OPC Leeds are great and if you can`t get across, they`ll post things on. They`re pretty used to ordering obscure parts for old cars... 58A-71E has broken them in.

Thanks Mike!
Yep, JCT600 OPC in Leeds is probably your closest one Tel 0844 844 3344 and ask to be put through to parts department - Billy and Mark are the main two guys. Helps if you have the part number to hand but dont worry if you dont; they are really helpful and will post stuff to you if you want, although the new showroom is straight off the M621 so its easy to pick up in person.
TBH I usually ring up first for availability and price, shop around a bit if its a commonly replacable wearable item just to compare prices, or, if its a Porsche stock only item then buy a few bits together and they'll usually offer between 5 and 10% off. They will at least be able to tell you if its NLA (no longer available) so you know then if you're trawling Fleabay or private adds etc.
I've had a lot from there now, so much so I get trade discount which makes them usually as competitive as anywhere else :)

Hi All
I use Porsche east London ,they have been very helpful although I do try to provide them with paart numbers sourced from their own PET system as found through this site , or I have popped in there and pointed at things on their screens , I think these days the parts departments have been pared down to a minimum staff wise so don't be surprised if you don't get too far if your not sure what your after ,
yours Bill
I am a person of simple pleasures so if you don't have any simple pleasures to offer me, beer, pizza or Porsche bits etc kindly leave me be, XX.

Thanks for the info guys. Spoke to Billy at JCT600, really nice guy and chuffed that he came highly recommended :)

There are afew bits I need and managed to get the part numbers. Just wondered if I could search the database online myself rather than always having to ring? Is there a weblink?

Thanks
Chris

Here's the LWB 911 one (I dont have the 912 to hand) these links still work but as you say Porsche are no longer publishing them on their website :?

Good thing with PET is that the part numbers arent going to change for the older cars, so doesnt really matter which version you get, I've been known to browse PET6  but believe they are using a newer version now
