All yours matey :) wouldn't be able to get it past scrutineering as all upgrades need to be 'period'. Carbon fibre is a no go, only f/glass.

Thanks for the heads up though.

BTW - If anyone wins this and wants it picking up it's just down t' road from me, and I travel all over the UK on business. Be happy to be a courier if it fits in with my travels.

I bid on this but it went a little high for me. Looks like it will be on its way to Sweden. It has been very noticeable over the last 6 months the increasing presence of foreign buyers on UK ebay as our currency gets devalued.

I don't suppose you picked yourself some Fuch alloys up from Knaresborough the other weekend?

Ah, I see. I was round the corner in an other unit and one of the guys said to me that there was a 914 on a trailer outside. By the time I came down to see it you were gone!!

Next time?

John Lamb was recommended to me by Mike Bainbridge originally but I've been to him 3 times now myself. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Its a long journey for me to get to him but woth the effort. I've been to a few more local rolling roads in the North West with unsatisfactory results. He knows Porsches quite well and tunes several of the well known BHRC cars. He always has some exotic historic race cars in for set up when I've been there. He is usually booked up several weeks in advance.
I can vouch for the fact that he is an expert on carbs (Webers, Solex, PMOs, etc). Can't comment about his knowledge on MFI but worth giving him a call to discuss it if you are interested.

Andrew
