Feeding webers on a 3.2 flat 6
I am about to get the parts to supply fuel to a set of 40 size webers on my racer.
Anyone with experience of pump rates (and type), filters and pressure/regulator to use please?
The car will spend most of its track time at full throttle if I'm brave enough.
Graham.

A "Red Top" interupter pump kit (Ref 480532K) and a Filter King regulator with pressure gauge(FPR007/G)) from Demon Tweeks should be more than man enough
PMO recommend a pressure of between 3 & 5 psi for their cars, so I suspect the Webers would be similar.
I assume you're not going hillclimbing if your going to be at full throttle all the time

Thanks for the kind words and the tech stuff too.
My plan was to use a red top with the circuit running as fuel flow:
Tank to pump to filter to regulator to 'T' piece and each leg of the T to each Weber to try to get equal flow/pressure to each carb.
The engine is a simple 3.2, almost stock, so I think one red top will be enough flow using 8mm ID pipes throughout.
The car will only be used for hillclimbs, and i did say full throttle if I was brave enough.
Here's the body, but it has had 2 Skoda bodies and a Karmann Ghia body on there in it's colourful past...:

Where did you get the Flatfan conversion from? Was it one you had made or did you find a place that does a kit, I've seen them talked about and seen links to sites where they are still in the 'development' stage but never seem to have got anywhere or they just cost lots and lots of ££££££££££££££

They are motorsport deep plunge on the gear box and fixed position Cv at the hubs. The rear end in March F2 spec.
I am worried about the angle as it looks awful; they are horizontal at ride height, but almost max angle fore/aft.
If I need to I can move the drive train back 40mm which reduces the angle a lot.
I have seem many FWD cars with such angles, but thet do look uncomfortable.
22 degrees is the max shaft angle allowed, and I'm not far off that.
There will be huge strain when the clutch is dropped with 12'' wide on 14'' rims and AVON hillclimb slicks (not the ones in the pics, they are old cut wets). Hope it all stays together or it will pop the CV inners off the shafts.
The box has a lightly set LSD.
The flat fan was made about 10 years ago by Nick Spears and Crispin Manners. It came with the fan on the engine. a real factory one will cost £16K I'm told.......:
