putting the shiny bits on is soooo rewarding after all the graft

you should finish off painting the rest of the garage floor whilst your at it, looks much beter than grey

You should see what i've done to the inside of the garage door and the concrete drive... Dad wasn't happy!! :P

Thanks for the kind words, really looking forward to finishing the car now... cant wait to get it out and about... its not going to be a show queen but a drivers car...

Longtime coming update...
I finally graduated in July after 5 years and now i can get back to finishing my car before i start my new job!
Wel i've been busy and i'm hoping that i can get the engine back in tomorrow... if my girlfriend lets me in the garage, she would rather go out in the Ford Pop....
Recent jobs included the fuel and brake lines which i managed to make myself with a bit of time and patience. I have also got most of the interior back in, will be re trimming the center console and adding a 914/911 hybrid steering wheel when i can finally convince my mum that recovering it is something she really would love to do. Next on the list is finishing the painting of doors, boot(s), bumpers and tank... unfortunately my dad has been really busy with work and hasn't had time to get painting but hopefully we'll get it done before the weather turns.
Well here are some update pics...more tomorrow!

Did a bit of work yesterday morning and the engine is back where it should be! Its so easy to do i had to get it done. Lots of electrical and cable connections still to go before its running in there again though..
Hopefully more small bits and pieces will finally arrive this week if we get some post...
Also tried to get Dad's '14 started but looks like a new fuel pump and starter motor are the order of the day for his. Turns over well enough but the starter makes a terrible noise and the pump makes no noise!

Thanks! I can almost see the end of this project and i will once again be a 914 driver not just owner...
Yes, slot mags on Dad's car. I've never seen them in 4x130 before but they fill the arches nicely! Now if only it were ever allowed to roll on those rims...
More work done on the car today. Most of the loose wiring and heater pipes sorted just got to finish up with the headlights and sort out the mess which used to be the fuel pump and oil temp wiring. Previously bypassed and cut by someone but all the wires have continuity so i'm redoing it and lets see what happens... This weeks ultimate goal is to get the last panels to paint :)
