Back dating

Post by Bury73 »

Has anybody here got any experience of back dating cars to look like like pre 73? How easy is it? which parts are needed and how hard are they to find? what is the estimated cost in time and parts?

I may have tracked down a suitably shabby street parked 3.2, would this be a good donor vehicle?

Thanks in advance

Jo

I think Nick offers this service at Early911 so he'd be your man.

Hi Jo

A 3.2 can be backdated as easily as an SC or 2.7. You need to find front wings, bonnet, front and rear GRP bumpers, as well as front lights and a front slam panel (OPC).

I have some of those parts and my bodyshop has done an 82 SC recently
