Post by john matthews »

My car was imported November 1971 though ,
so can I be allowed an earlier one please ??

I might stick it in the 1972 position though ,
just as a conversation starter !!!

Just for my info, can anyone clarify which sticker it should be for an early '72 2.4?

I know the position because you can see where the sticker was originally when the window mists up!

Thanks

The Weltmeister decal for '69,'70 was used up until late February 1972 - after that the remainder of the '72 models had the '69,'70,'71 decal.

Up until Feb '72 (1st two versions of the decal) they were fitted to the inside of the windscreen at the bottom corner on the passenger side (about an inch from the seal).

The later two versions were fitted to the inside of the right rear quarter window glass.

On Targas they were fitted in the right corner of the rear screen.
