Fab run in the wonderful Northumberland.
Top bacon buttie stop at Slaley Hall - with special parking signed for 'Porsche Club' - how did they know about our impediments??

Enjoyed infiltrating PCGB meet

Thanks James for the organisation.

Everyone seemed to manage the early start , except me  Oh well, 5 minutes late wasn't too bad

I was a bit worried when I woke up & saw thick fog, but luckilly only a couple of miles into the drive the fog lifted and the sun shone 8)

Some great cars again, but it was a treat to see Mick Cliffs new Sepia '72 & Stu's amazing 914/6. Both Stunning cars .

Hopefully everyone enjoyed the roads .... I admit I was enjoying them so much I forgot about the 'touring' pace

Only managed a couple of photos

Ooh jealous - looks great fun and bright sunshine (late summer at last in Wales and now Northumberland).

Spent the day in the garage with lots of 911 bits :-)

What a lovely day, sorry not to make the drive, probably the lasr oppotunity for summer driving this year.

Along with Helen and Larry, we tried in vain to scoop show and shine prizes from under PCGB noses.... curses

Note to self:- when trying to win show and shine prizes, must remember to order a brand new car and have it delivered directly to Raby.

Dark confession, I like 964s.

Regards, Mike.

Early start indeed but my God was it worth it 8) 8) 8)

356, 911, 912, 914 and Helen in the speedster rep at Raby meant a full house of cars

Scotch Corner ready for the off

Stuart's (1) 914

Mick's 911

After seeing Rich's car in Wales and now this I think I'm succombing to some sepia love 8)

The weather was great, if a little chilly to start with, respect to Stuart(2) and Keith in the 912 targa who went topless all day

Then out onto what have to be some of the best roads anywhere in the UK

Sorry Vicki and Stuart (3) this was before you arrived

The 'touring' pace  proved to be entertaining

Breakfast stop at the greasy spoon  (not as good as Vicki's photo  ) - did enjoy it when all the morning golfers had to tee off to the sound of these in the background

Image

Didnt get any photos at Raby though  was too busy admiring the cars in the show and shine

and as usual a huge thanks to James for organising 8)

shame we didn't get any photos of the roads, but they were superb. Generally any roads which have 'snow' poles tend to be great drivers roads ;)

Some superb moorland roads + loads of great twisties with plenty of 1st gear hairpins thrown in for good measure.

Only grounded out the front of the car a couple of times  My poor fuel tank :(

My survey says you either love it or hate it [Sepia], there's nothing in between [e.g 'not bad', 'quite nice', etc.]

Had a great day - thanks for organising it James.

After attempting to keep up with James's 'touring speed' my car definitely needs a rest!!!
