Name that tune?

Post by chief »

If anyone is interested I thought I'd keep you all up to speed with my part built Chesil. After many unhappy hours spent trying to get the best of the Solex/Kadron carbs I have given up! They have now been replaced by a brand new spanking pair of IDF Webbers. After a few hours cutting tinware to allow fitment of the manifolds were up and running......

Name that tune?

Just booked in for rolling road tuning at The Race Shack (Tewksbury)
....you know the guys off Beetle Crisis on Discovery.......
Wish me luck as I've never towed a trailer before!
and might be on telly..................lights, camera, action..............

Right fellas,
Reading the FAQ it seems you can only put up pictures if they are already on an existing web site.... now that's the problem, do I have to set up a freeserve type of site to link too?????
I have some good shots before/after of lowering the car that might be of interest to some....any help please?

The poor thing eat it's own valve guides............DOH!

So pair of new heads complete rocker assembly and rebuild up and hopefully a run on the dyno....

Big thanks to Matty who went way beyond what he had to to find the problem

Just thought I'd let you all know that the Race Shack has phoned to tell me that my engine has been re-built after letting go on the dyno. they have run it up and shows a health 54bhp at the wheels (1641cc 110 Engle cam twin port heads) the fact that my Ducati 750 twin puts out 128bhp at the back wheel, does I know make it all seem a bit weedy!
