Isn't that the fourth 911 in the country that Auto Classica had?

Hi Guys,

Yep, it is the car that Autoclassica had. It was on the first consignment of 911's into the UK (five cars I think). I'm not sure what happened to the others, I know the white one survived as I've seen some recent photos, but I don't know the fate of the other three yet. My car was built in July '65 but not registred until May '66.

I'm still sorting out a lot of the running faults at the moment, I've already rebuilt the distributor, new HT leads, Plugs and I'm about to rebuild the mechanical fuel pumps and re-balance the SIX  carbs. Its running far too rich. I've also just bought an almost NOS set of side lights and rear lights as the chrome on mine had really gone off and the lenses are faded to almost MOT failiure point. These new ones are like gold dust, finding parts for these early cars is a nightmare. Has anyone got an early distrubtor cap

When I get a little more time I'll put a post in the 911 section.

Thanks for the kind words Cubist.

Cheers
David
