Alternator Shaft thread

Post by Luke »

Can someone tell me the thread size for the alternator shaft (the shaft that the fan and pulley is fixed too, a 22 or 24mm nut screws on to it) I'm chewed up the thread and need to get a split die to restore it to its former glory.

It's a motorola alternator if that make any difference

Pelican has provided the answer M16 x 1.0, one die on order! If anyone needs to borrow this die in the future jsut let me know, I'll add it to the DDK community toolbox

my mare continues!

I'm going to attack them again this weekend with a blow torch and a very long, strong spanner, might even have to weld a bar on to the stud to get them to move, but hopefully the problem should be sorted by saturday afternoon, that or I'll be in hospital having ruptured something
