just to let people know my 54 356 is for sale,at the moment it is undergoing some work,gearbox has been rebuilt,engine which is a 912 1720cc motor, has been rebuilt using new bearings,remachined crank,all newly balanced,heads have had new guides and valve seats reground,lightened flywheel,powdercoated tinware,alternator,sebring exhaust,webbers,12v
the underside of the car is being stripped back to metal,repainted and stonchipped,other than that the car is as it was,a solid minimaly welded car,original floors,standard brakes,a few extras-derrington steering wheel,spyder mirror,bonnet straps,headlight grills

With all the interest in these very early Porsches ( Classic Le Mans 53 Pre A that AJP raced and won in one) I am supprised this is still for sale. It's a nice car and with a few nice mods too.

bought lottery tickets for Saturday finger crossed.. :lol:

i am going abroad for 4 months and willbe back in july when i will put this car back on the road,it will then be up for sale again,give us a call then helen if you are still interested

I'm very glad Alex i think you will really enjoy the car out in NZ and it's perfect roads to enjoy the car out there. I am very pleased it didn't sell and you should attract a good price out there , but I feel you will not sell it once your out there..

good luck Alex and I am sure we will have to have a beer when I am in NZ in the future..

off to Oz next year for some time away..

No worries.. !! :wave: when your in Perth some time you will have to PM me. I will still stay on this forum. Look back on here every now and then.

We can hit the highway 1 down the coast road in the 54 :wink: in sun shine rather than all this rain!! :lol:
