Silverstone Pre-74 PCGB Track Day
Just returned from my first track day with the pre-74 cars, and have to say it was brilliant fun.
Great to meet up with so many of the faces behind the names.
I would certainly attend another, so how about it PCGB / DDK ?
Finally, a big thanks to Mike the Instructor - I would totally recommend getting instruction if you are new to track days, or new to a track, as they set you up perfectly to make the most of the circuit during the day.
See you all at the track.
Pictures will be on my Photobucket site.

A few pics from today.....
Unfortunately Phil's face summed up his car troubles over the past couple of days. Well done Barry though!
Happy DDK'ers!
'Now remember Mike, be careful out there'
The Silverstone pit garages did look good today!

what a superb day
Really enjoyed this trackday. Great cars, great people, great weather & great driving
Even though I seemed to spend loads of time chatting I managed to clock over 80 miles on track. This was the 1st time i have really been able to lean on my car in teh bends & I loved it
Also, Barry deserves a big star sticker for all the help he gave to those DDKers in need

Great week-end and thanks for all the kind comments on the car, worth the hard work over the past couple of weeks.
The track-day was fantastic, especially after the tyres had worn in. Highlight had to be the instructor Mike Wilds showing me how it should be driven, then swopping seats making me carry the same speed through Copse, Becketts and Brooklands, albeit with his hand on the wheel as well, just in case
Final thanks to Barry, who, thoughtful as ever brought along a spare exhaust box in case I was to noisy, hope you enjoyed the ride.
Couldn't resist taking this pic on leaving the circuit.
BTW, any pictures of the car in 'action' would be greatly appreciated, will send them to Gib Bosworth the guy responsible for it in the US.

the door was open, no-one around, and an empty circuit, how tempting was that!
Only problem, looked in the cockpit and couldn't figure out how to start it
