Sorry to hear that Darren - looks like you weren't the only one either. One of the other guys stuffed his Bristol into the back of a truck - potential write-off :(

Hope that the damage can be sorted and that the kid's insurance comes through ok.

Hi Darren

hope it gets repaired OK - one of my dad'd customers had his MB club concours winning 190SL rear ended by a golf a couple of months ago - what on the face of it looked like a bent overrider and centre section rear bumper turned out to be a £4K bill for the other drivers insurance! Mind you, the golf had to be towed away!

hope your car gets sorted quickly.

Darren I am sorry to hear that , but these are tough old cars and should work out fine in the end..

I have a high level rear brake light I know they are crap and look like 80's shite but intodays traffic there are a must.. people just are not used to old cars on the road
they either are looking too much at the car
or are not used to the rear light set up..

cost me like £20 from a car parts place.. I think well worth it will try and take photo later to show you guys..

David yes back as such but it's only the lull before the storm 6 weeks and counting..!!! then the sweet sound of 912's is replaced with

whaarrrrr whaarrrrrr !!!!!!

Sounds like a great idea for an event to me. I love the idea of keeping it dedicated to 912 and the whole camping surfing thing.

Hi Darren,

So sorry to hear about your incident. I too got rear ended in Fudge back in April. She looked OK at first but the hidden damage was the issue. The OPC at Bradford did the repairs at a cost of almost £5000  and thats with me providing some used USA spec overiders, {nice one Nig, you da MAN!}.
FWIW a high level brake light would have been no good in this case as the
Blonde MFP driver was moving house and her car was crammed with boxes of stuff and a hoover which fell over from the passenger seat causing to distract her attention and impact into #576 rather than watching ahead at the T junction where the Fudgester and I was waiting.

Count me in to assist in the CLM / 912 International if you need me fella.
Perhaps a Dave Hillman memorial trophy could be given to the visitors choise winner.

............Well, its a sort of idea anyhow in respect to #1 912 faithkeeper.

:? sorry.
