forum errors

Post by hot66 »

Been struggling to get on to the forum recently. Lots of criticall error messages + it has been pretty slow at times with a 'time-out' message.

Problems?

Likewise this morning - hope it's not the Favicon!

Let me know what it's like today as I'm now off out and about and I'll look into to it later.

No, it's not the favicon! - And I didn't change anything that would stop your printer from working either (bloody users ).

I was getting the slow-downs and errors through the middle of the day yesterday, before I'd touched anything, but after I'd asked for the FTP access to be turned on...

They definitely have problems around their FTP controls, as I should be able to turn it on and off from the control panel, but as you know, it doesn't work and I had to ask you to ask them to turn it on from their end.

Ask the hosts to turn the FTP back off again and we'll see if things return to normal - in fact, ask them if they are aware of any 'issues' around FTP on-and-offing, while you are at it.

The favicons are completely un-doable, if it comes to it, BUT - it's not them knackering the DB.

Carl :)
