1.9 VW Waterboxer engine for sale. Must go!

Post by KS »

As the title says. Having Subaru conversion done right this minute and just removed the original 1.9 WBX engine from my 1989 T25. It runs absolutely fine, no oil or water leaks. Swiss-spec with cat (so green!). Complete with alternator, clutch, air-filter, oil filler, engine mount etc – ready to slot in and drive.

Must be worth £250 but come and collect it as quickly as possible!

slightly off subject of your "old" engine but where are you having the "new" engine done? been looking at one for my 14 but seems to be a minefield of companies especially in USA doing conversions.

Love to see a build up inc photos of the conversion.

The conversion's being done in my driveway by Richard Jones of www.rjes.com. Should be complete tomorrow. Original bhp = 70. New bhp = 155! Should make quite difference. Also Subaru engine revs to 6250+, so no problem with low gearing of Camper.I'd honestly thought about a conversion like this for the 912 should the engine ever go kaput.
