having a quick search around specifically at 1972/73 RHD 2.4E's , it appears quite a lot of them have quite interesting competition history . Assume the regulations at the time and the value of the cars made the 2.4E the car of choice ?
Any owners on DDK able to add to the list ? Any other model commonly used

Rvzz ( Russ) ... 1972 2.4E pirelli race car
MT's .... 1972 2.4E pirelli race car ?
(Adam) ... 1973 2.4E sprint/ hill climb car

I have some DVD's of the 88/89 Pirelli Championship season, so if anyone thinks their car was in it and has the reg no. or the driver or colour scheme I'll see if it figures. A copy could then be made and sent for a few quid in the DDK charity pot.

I know Russ's car is on that video as he has a copy too. Looks like your 2 cars probablly had a battle or 2 on the track 8)

My old RS rep was a 73 E that raced in the Pirelli series in the late 80's, run by Autofarm and driven by Valentine Lindsey.
Here's the before and after:

Vic - I have a feeling we might have discussed this before ...

I considered buying this car from Kevin back in the late '80's/early '90's (can't remember exactly when !) - maybe it was your old car ? (I might have another picture of it showing the reg no):

i met the guy 'from cosworth' couple of years back and passed over a couple of track day shots from Goodwood [ when u cud hire the whole track for £400 !] it amazes me it survived so much .........Kevin was never gentle with it ..........tee hee when i sold it was matching numbers , no idea now !!!!!!!!!!

thats it .........never had red wheels in my time ..........might have been considered flash !!!!!!!

If rallying in New Zealand counts as proper competition history you can add my car to the list ....

NLX 97L - a RHD 2.4E and "sister" of my old E NLX 100L - has race history, before being used as a daily driver for many years by Higgs.

Its current owner Geoff is rebuilding the car to take it racing again. :-)
