Engine stand yoke

Post by Beetlejac »

Engine yoke is constructed of thickwall steel pipe and cnc plasma cut 6mm heavy plate steel.
Fits all air-cooled VW and Porsche engines/transaxles.Engine mounting ring and four arm design reduces the chance of case damage. Engine yoke fits most roll-round stands(Clark/sealy)with a 60mm ID.£70 plus £10 post

Will this fit a 3.2 911 engine?
Not sure if your description means all 4 cylinder engines or includes the 6 cylinder?

I think marginal Graham as 3.2 with stock equipment is close to the SWL - does not allow much leeway if you are undoing camshaft nuts at 100 ft/lbs. Do you have steelcap boots?

That is why I asked!
The 3.2 is a mighty lump fully dressed.

Hi that SWL you see is for the actual stand not the yoke/spider,l have been making the rings wider so they look stronger and have more surface contact and at the end of the day its only realy two M10 bolts thats holding the engine on the yoke/spider.
The welds are'nt going to fail and with the weight spread over the four arms l cant see them failing and bending. The yoke's only as good as the stand its mounted to.
Hope that helps

I would actually like to buy one of your Yokes, heavy duty, not with the bench mounting, but for the engine stand tube.

Please pm the cost to me.
Do you take paypal, and are these 'in stock' so to speak?
If not how long is your lead time?

Thanks,
Graham.

Mine arrived today, looks good and fits my Clark stand a treat.

It needs a 10mm hole(s) drilling to secure the 'angle' of the frame as you work on the engine, but no problem.
Chuffed!
