LHD 72S at Autofarm

Post by left4dead »

Car can certainly be driven as is but to correct the previous poor resto work (incorrect panels & poor paint plus accident damage) I was quoted a minimum of £30/35k. On top of the purchase price this put it ahead of the curve for my pockets. Of course, in eighteen months / two years time all this will seem cheap compared to the thens car value.

Would love to see the car looking top notch as it deserves it.

Wow! Purchase price around £85k plus £30k doesn't seem logical. Was that to achieve concours quality?

Concours no, that would have required more outlay. I would have hoped it looked pretty special though.
Will be interesting to see to what level the new owners take it. If I was them though I'd just spend this year driving the thing!

The black car is back in Pistonheads classifieds. Why's that?

Not sure but what is REALLY pi$$ing me off is the number of dealers re-advertising cars that already sold weeks ago as available again and then a few days or a week later marking as sold. GROW UP!!!

Indeed Jason. Although I think the people that purchased it had way more foresight than me as they invested an awful lot of money with the Clark & Carter restoration. If estimate proves reliable they will be on the right side, however. It's great to see what externally was a very tired car looking so immaculate (interior looks pretty similar to my photo from 2013).
