This is the car I had pictures of all over my bedroom walls as a teenager in 1973 and the main reason I have always been into early 911's and the inspiration to 'one day' own an RS. Appeared in loads of mag articles at the time.
Just up for sale on piston heads.
Regards
Mike

Me too Mike,(still have the pictures somewhere).
I seem to remember a few articles with it's sister car RGO 4 L.
ps, well done on fulfilling your dream. Unless the "bubble" bursts, I don't think I'll realize mine.
That's one special car! anyone know more about the RGO plated cars? what is the significance? Can anyone post some articles of the car from times gone by?
How many did Mexbough have as remember owning L/W early no 146 ish about eight years ago which Gregor Fisken bought from me at a record price of 130 K. Times change!
last time I was there he'd sold quite a lot of cars, back in 2006 though he had the rs , the rsr , the 74 IROC, the 74RS , the 959 , 924gt I think alos a 914 , the 911 grasstrack car .. then the garage full of red cars , and the other garage with e-types etc in

What about a trade in, will that help? I was wondering if they would knock a bit off for a nice VW golf, one owner, lol

Very similar to Lord Mexborough's car. Except that it was a triumph 2.5 PI estate.
Lol.......
Not in that lovely triumph brown colour?
The RS in the above photo obviously started off as race number '8' and was chopped cunningly to '3'

Mike
