always loved that car when it was first built ... although back then it had the fab tartan period recaro seats & I'm sure RS arches ... Brian Burrows commissioned ? then Russell EH built

Bought my rs rep from Neil Primrose, who also owned this car at that time, beautiful car in new like condition, probably not long after restoration. Rear arches looked somewhere between rs and st profile. Wonder what condition it's in now.hot66 wrote:

Re: Same car
Wasn't this car one of the Coys auction cars at the PCGB 50th? and it was bid up to about £50K but failed to sell from memory.

Re:
I love the way build costs just seem to go up and up as cars go from seller to seller LOL. I had a conversation with RE about this car when it was originally up for sale at Gmund and he told me that this cost £40K to build which he should know as he built it (this was 20K less than the price it was up for at the time). I note the price being asked for this car hasn't really changed in the last 5 years.sng45 wrote:I drove that car when it was for sale at Gmund/Autoclassica some time ago - fantastic car and I recall it cost Brian around £115,000 to have built !
It was a very nice car and looks like it still is.

Re: Same car
Just noticed my RS rep on Sean's site (marked as 'sold').
Shame someone's changed the seats & wheels:

I prefer the look of the ST now though.
