Porsche 912- swb 1967

Post by Splitty64 »

I am reluctantly selling my 912 which I have owned for about seven years or more and had a full resto completed. Price is £45,000. Its only going as I have another car which I deeply want and cant keep both. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love this car. Its not perfect, a 51 year old car will always have some issues but in truth I would say that as I built it hotrod ish spec, its a little light at present on sound deadening at the rear go you get to hear the engine, gearbox etc it you are giving it some beans. It has to be one of the most solid cars out there and dead straight having spent soooo much on all the shell metalwork being done by an industry expert. The rest is bolt on / bolt of, to me, nothing else really matters.

Its a 1967 swb, US car in Signal green. The shell was blasted and all necessary metalwork replaced on a Celette jig at Chesterton Coachworks by John Williams. This included the floor, all the tank support area, rear parcel shelf, rear screen corners plus much much more. This was then epoxy primed and painted at a local body shop. All suspension was blasted and coated, new bushes and alignment done by Fenn Lane Motorsport, along with a full brake refurb and all new suspension bushes plus adjustable sports shocks. Pretty much every bush, seal etc etc has been replaced on the car. Interior has a new head lining, plus new carpet, sports seats, harness bar and 4 point harnesses. Double leather wrapped steering wheel is a nice touch too. Gearbox had a bearing refresh, new mounts etc, new clutch. Engine had a bearing and cylinder refresh, full flow oil system was already in place. Also running an alternator conversion, tall trumpets on carbs etc. 5 1/2 hearts Fuch at the front, 6 deeps at the rear refurbed by Canfords plus nearly new tyres.

This car is in a very mild hotrod look, but all original parts including good condition original front seats can be part of the deal or may be sold separately.

Sorry, realised I have no working picture hosting at present, but I can mail, dropbox or Facebook pictures to any genuine interested parties.

Car located in the HP21 area
