PROJECT:
LHD 911T targa 1973 (euro carb-model, TV)
COA, sold new 10/1972 by Raffay, Hamburg, Germany.
Matching numbers engine, gearbox number is scuffed and unreadable (believed to be matching numbers box).
Good options as per COA:
- Signal yellow
- Sport seats (black with corduroy), now missing
- 5-speed 915-box
- 15” Fuchs (5, date-matched)
- S-front bumper
- S-trim (appearance group option)
- 85 l plastic tank (1972 stamped)
Car is totally dismantled and complete, only missing parts are front seats and front wings.
Engine and gearbox worked ok and car was running and MOT`d before the resto started.
Obviously engine and box will need to be checked and restored mechanically and cosmetically, both are currently complete, unopened and in their original state.
Bodyshell is stripped to bare metal.
Body is better than average, rust mainly in b-post and sill areas.
Over the years I´ve collected a lots of NOS and NEW Genuine Porsche body parts:
- Both rear wings (quarter panels)
- Rear cross member
- Rear number plate panel
- Inner and outer sills, kidney bowls and jack tubes
- Right door (left door is used, but rust free from California)
- A-posts
- Battery-boxes
- Front lock plate/cross member
- S-front bumper
Bodyshell is basically ready for bodyshop, only missing parts are front wing joining / closing panels, front wings and front pan (bottom part).
Dash top is crack free, 380 mm steering wheel (original nicely patinated leather rim), new repro sun visors, all door pockets are present (average condition, restoreable).
- New cover and inner trim kits for targa top, top itself is complete, but needs resto.
- All new emblems, NOS PERFECT orange bar badge.
- NOS H4 chrome rimmed front lights, BOSCH lenses.
- NOS BOSCH front indicator boxes and lenses (“P” marked).
- Very nice used genuine correct for ´73 small “flag” side mirror.
- NOS Bosch rear light unit boxes.
Tons of other smaller new and genuine stuff (new a-arms, NOS curved wheel balancing weights, NOS Porsche flat tip exhaust tip trim, NOS short black BOSCH coil, etc…), can list more later for a genuine buyer candidate.
I´m currently away from home and unable to attach photos, but will do as soon as I return back (17 th of Jan).
The reason for selling is a move and loss / diminishing of garage space.
So far I´ve invested around 30K euros in this project.
My absolute bottom price for the whole lot is 16500 euros (about £13600).
Prefer cash, but willing to consider a trade for a LHD 928 or 911 SC or 3.2 (cash either way).
