Ownership:
First registered to Porsche Cars GB for a period of 8 months before being sold to Arwin Fakey in London who owned the car until June 1998. The car then went to Newport with a Mr Ray Rees, ownership for some reason was transferred to Paul Rees and then back to Ray Rees before it was sold in July 2001, the details for these changes are unknown. The car then found its way to Macclesfield with Mr Mark Wilkinson who kept the car for just under two years. It was then sold to Jonathan Collins, from London in May 2003 who after a period of 4 years sold it to his work colleague Daniel Schneideman whom I purchased the car from in May 2010.
The car benefits from being meticulously serviced by all keepers whilst maintaining its originality.
Details:
A genuine, original, un-molested 993 in perfect order throughout. Straight and free of any major damage with a fortune spent in recent years and maintained to the highest of standards. This car wants for nothing.
I purchased the car in May 2010 and over the past three and half years have put in a lot of time and effort to bring it up to its current standard. A typical London car when first viewed, it needed some minor cosmetic paintwork improvements although benefited from having all the right owners who maintained it meticulously whilst retaining the cars originality and had just enjoyed a full suspension overhaul at a cost of nearly £5K.
The car required paintwork to the front bumper and OSF wing although in a quest for perfection this became both sides and nose. All fully photographed and documented.
In 2011 I tackled the known problem area to the rear chassis legs (ALL 993's require this work) and also took the opportunity to replace all exhaust heat shields - http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... re#p304415
The early part of 2012 I came into contact with a kerb at speed which caused damage to the OS front wishbone and tie-rod. Although there was no structural damage it was decided to replace the complete lower front suspension, corroded brake lines, overhaul the front differential. The steering rack, although undamaged was replaced for thoroughness and rather than repair the damage caused by the wheel hitting the underside of the wing, this was also replaced. The original is available if required. I also took the opportunity to remove and replace new the front windscreen and deal with some minor rust in this area. The damaged front wheel was replaced and the car received four new tyres prior to tracking and alignment. All mechanical work was carried out by Porsche Centre Swindon. Again, all work has been fully documented and photographed.
Other recent cosmetic improvements has been the replacement of front headlights and fog lights as these tend to fade with age, originals available if required.
The cars retains all of its original stickers and markings.
Mechanically the car is perfect, free from oil leaks and wonderfully set-up. The car handles and performs faultlessly and is a joy to own and drive. Glorious engine.
Supplied with original tools, two full sets of keys, original handbooks, a full comprehensive history files with original invoices, original brochure, original price list and Certificate of Authenticity.
I've just painted the front nose to take care of chips and a small blemish, prior to sale I will have the car serviced and checked by Porsche Centre Swindon and it will be supplied with a new MOT and 12 months road tax.
Those who know me will know this is a very reluctant sale…….I love this car.
I appreciate the price I'm asking is at high end for this model; my justification is the many (many) thousands I've spent to bring the car up to the highest of standards, a truly desirable specification and the fact that I don't really want to let it go!
Available to view at any time. Part-exchange considered and finance possible. Price is non-negotiable however I will make a donation to 10/10 if the cars sells via DDK
