Own a 993 GT2?

Post by KS »

If so, the drinks are on you today...

http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture ... 1-gt2-tho/

Quote: "This particular example is finished in stunning Riviera Blue, adding even more desirability to an already special car. Prospective owners at RM Sotheby's London auction weren't shy about it either, bidding the car all the way up to a staggering £1,848,000, or roughly $2,464,798. That's almost as much as a brand new Bugatti Chiron. For a 20-year-old 911. For context, RM Sotheby's estimated the car to sell somewhere between $1,000,000 and $1,133,000. So it went for, uh, more than double that.
The air-cooled market is something else."

I was there. I was not the winning bidder. Nor the underbidder.
It was a very nice car and 993's in blue are the best. But...

does anybody know how the red 993 Turbo S did?

I know where one has been garaged for 12 years, and now has become a bike stand / prop. Owner doesnt want to part with it as it was a 50th birthday present from his wife!
