Schiesse. Cheers Nobsie.

Was there a decent turnout in the room/marquee? Or was bidding mostly by absentees?

Was in the general area so rescheduled the afternoon to attend.

Only managed to quickly glance at the cars and view the auction from the very back of the hall. Good turn out, must have been 300+ , hard to tell private buyers from traders - some phone bidding but mostly from people attending. Not sure if any were purchased by DDKers but i'm sure we will soon find out. !!

Didn't do very well as a whole when you look at prices achieved compared to estimates.

Wonder how they actually compare against actual purchase price + shipping + taxes + storage + sales taxes against selling prices.

Nothing there looks like massive profits to me?

Oh well only a couple of hundred to go lol

Maybe ACA took the highly unusual route of placing actual realistic estimates against the cars unlike the likes of Bonhams whose estimates have been laughable of late. Nothing headline grabbing, for sure (apart from the '65 rolling shell I was interested in which went for twice the estimate, naturally  ).

So looks like 911s at top or over estimate, 356s at bottom end.
I was expecting to hear of some crazy prices, but looks reasonable in todays climate.

Given they are being sold in batches I think the reasonable prices were where they
were always going to sell. Some if the crazy prices we've seen have been individual cars within an auction with inflated 'barn find' stories attached to them.

Although this sale has has good publicity it's probably a truer reflection of current market prices

Plenty to look forward to on DDK now, I'm expecting to see about two dozen restoration threads start up soon. :)

Or two dozen Market Discussion threads when the cars get remarketed with new stories!
