Re: PayPal scam for my car
Indeed - thanks all. Funnily enough I've now had someone else contact me. He's not suggesting PayPal but the guy has a US number and I just can't believe someone would offer to pay that much money without wanting a lot more info from me about the car. There are no horror stories on my side, I've bee...

PayPal scam for my car
Hi all - just a heads up that I've had an email from someone calling himself Aiello David enquiring about buying my car. I'm not sure of he saw the advert on here, or if it was from Classic Driver where the car is also advertised. Here is his latest email - I've not bothered replying but just sharin...

Now Sold - 1968 911T, RHD, matching numbers, Porsche CoA
Now sold I'm afraid it's time to sell my SWB 911. This is an original UK car, RHD, complete matching numbers and in the correct and original colour, complete with a Porsche UK Certificate of Authenticity. It's a 1968 model, with the 5-speed dogleg gearbox. It had a full engine rebuild around 3 years...

Re: Hedingham tomorrow?!?
I love it - and don't want to sell it, but (a) we want to do some more work on the house, and (b) the money left over would be very helpful for my 356A. I will be kicking myself very hard in a couple of years time when they will probably be worth even more...but it sort of makes sense for now

Hedingham tomorrow?!?
Sorry to appear like a total Terry (it's a Viz thing), but I thought I'd seen somewhere that Hedingham Castle was doing Porsche Classics at the Castle this weekend, but now I can't find anything about it? Is the event not happening, did I dream the whole thing? Do I need more sleep?

Jetpac! Ah, man... Loved that game! Still have my 48K Spectrum and kempston joystick, all boxed and all mint! I got it out for my 16 and 11 yr old boys recently. They couldn't believe it!!!

Re: Typical body rest costs - 356A
Thanks all, and yes, wise words Roy. It's something I have wanted to do for a few years, and I may finally be getting close to the chance to do it. I will have to think hard as I know I'll be in for a potentially open-ended price, and I'm guessing the car will be gone for the best part of a year rea...

Typical body rest costs - 356A
I realise this is a very tricky question, and I'm just looking for ball-park ideas: what would be a rough budget for a mild body restoration on a 356A? I'm talking new front bonnet repair to run round the nose, lower section of the doors. The rest of the car is (seemingly) very solid. I've had it 9 ...
