Re: 79 days to Classic Le Mans
I thought about going to this. Am I too late to organise it? What is involved? I must admit I'm not sure keen on camp but maybe Mrs B would be keen too.

Re: Track cars - Trackday junkie !
All you have to do is a little lift after the corner to let faster guys go by where there is loads of space. The thing that is impolite is to be slow round the corners with someone behind and then blast down the straight at turbo-nutter-barge top speed to stop the other car going by. Staying on lin...

Re: Track cars - Trackday junkie !
Thanks I'm so new to this that I have to ask does that mean on track we are all driving on the over side of the road? European / US driving style? You should be using the racing line! I have always found getting instruction very helpful (I still do). Well worth getting some early on. Graham Sure bu...

Re: Track cars - Trackday junkie !
can't speak for uk "porsche days", but in general overtaking is not allowed through corners on uk trackdays. overtaking is done to the left and on the straights only. as long as you're mindful of faster cars and move out of their way, the faster drivers don't have a problem with slower ca...

Re: Track cars - Trackday junkie !
I'm thinking of taking my 912 or 356 along to the Brands Hatch Porsche Club Track day. I've only ever been on a track once before using a red letter day thing. Couple of laps in a 3 series than some laps in a single seater. At Brands Hatch too. Pretty interesting circuit from what I remember. It sou...

The economics of classic car investing?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/9058922/Classic-cars-a-viable-alternative-investment.html Interesting but not much depth in this article. I partly bought my 356 as an alternative to my stock pension. Which have gone sideways for the 16 years I have been working (dotCom a...

I believe it's a still a 6v. It just accorded to me that I need to change the lap seat belts. I'm sure some think they are cool but safety first for me.

I've never been to a Porsche gather before is the Classics at the Castle the one to go to? We probably can't turn up to 2/3pm will it all be over by then? I was a little put off by an email response I saw from the organisers about post 74 cars and plastic porsche going to the far car park. I was hop...

Re: Bring a 356 to the UK
Thank everybody for the advice. I'm starting to lean towards having somebody do it for me. My two perferred routes are Tower Porsche (because they are near my home/work place in London) I've always found them to be very help but sometimes the ride can be tough and Tuthill Porsche because they are ne...
