Re: 123 distributor for 356

I've been recently contemplating one of these for the 911 but have read some off reviews. These seem to relate to duff caps and rotor arms. Do people tend to go for the bluetooth ones or not. I'm assuming the fallback on the off chance the distributor or the company to pop is to keep your current d...

Re: '73 T wiper function questions

Good news! Glad it all worked in the end! I did say that I was working with a 71 wiring diagram and a 1969 wiper motor! Porsche wiring diagrams have never been the clearest! You should try following a 69 wiring diagram and find how far away it is from the reality of the loom in the car! Laugh a minu...

Re: '73 T wiper function questions

Pin 5 on the relay will switch your fused 12V supply directly to ground if connected to groundhence blowing the fuse. Its a timer changeover relay.

Re: '73 T wiper function questions

Looking at a 71 wiring diagram here so don’t shoot the messenger! Have been playing about with a 1969 wiring loom and I know this much. If the wiper motor is stopped and the park connection is made and has voltage on it then the motor parks. If you stop the motor and you don’t have 12v on the park c...

Re: 912c

If your 912 had a standard engine it has less duration than your 356. That’s how they de tuned them because of the additional weight of the 912.

But the engine doesn’t come on cam until its at least above 2700!

Re: 912c

Neil Have you read up about John Willhoits development of his engine conversions? It’s an interesting read of all the avenues he went down, twin plugs, CDI, fuel injection. It answers a lot of questions. What JPS have done is developed an engine package and backed up their designs and products with...

Re: 912c

That’s probably because you distributor is bouncing all over the curve! Or your compression is down!
An 009 on a 616 engine is not the best idea in fact on any engine.
The first question of any engineer when you ask for more power is “How much money are you willing to spend?”

Re: 912c

Agreed a £300 CDI system would be a good addition to that Sent from my M2004J19C using Tapatalk It runs a 123 ignition distributor with a custom curve for the cam/porting/engine. Doesn’t need a CDI ignition. If you have ever got a shock from a 123 distributor you would understand why! The JPS kit i...
