Re: Long Distance Restoration 1970, 911T

Sorry to hear about this...very annoying, to say the least. Perhaps your paintwork is already repaired, and I imagine that what I'm about to say is obvious, but that is to check with the painter in Colorado as to exactly what materials he used. I thoroughly doubt he used cellulose...I don't think an...

Re: 356 A Cabriolet restoration

Post away, good sir. DDK is by far the best site for these enlightening projects., where we get to see professionals' work, not just is DIY-ers. I'm impressed with that front wing and headlight bucket repair. Looking forward to more. Best, John in CT, USA

Re: Back in beige

Jamie...DUDE! That is a harrowing story! I think the current theory as to the demise of the Norseman Glen Miller was flying in across the Channel was carb icing. I remember a long drive in my Alfa GTV through the wilds of New York State at night...a bit like Dartmoor, but times a few thousand, and b...

Re: Back in beige

Jamie, since you mentioned Mrs. T., I will make one brief comment, non-car related, hopefully not annoying anyone in the process: I was in the U.K. last week, and the current election must surely be the most crazy one ever. The things the main protagonists are saying....no matter where one's allegia...

Re: Back in beige

My thought is that, assuming you can get this finish applied to a standard that's good enough for you, you'll forever be attracting attention you likely won't want...answering questions from inquisitive knaves and small children...why, how, what's next etc. I may well be too much of a conformist, bu...

Nice cars. How are those new Ford F-150's being received in England? Does the aluminium body make it more palatable? Kind regards, John.

Re: Back in beige

Jamie, statement of the obvious, but be sure to choose one brand of paint/materials, then stick with that product line from the undercoats/primers up through sealers and top coats. Best not to mix different brands. More importantly, take your health and self-preservation very seriously; be aware of ...
