RSR rear bumper installation
I came across a GRP RSR bumper without brackets...
Are the brackets a must or is there a way to mount it without them?
Are the brackets available in GRP? Not keen on cutting out originals..

Re: Why all the B hating...
I have never understood the "C" hype..
Seems like a lot of people test drive bad examples of whatever model and start picking on them, often bad mouthing "old technique" like the drum brakes...
Personally, I prefer an A but a T5B is a close second!

Re: Sagging rear
Thank you once again Chris! I really don't know what to believe anymore. It´s probably the human factor playing tricks over here..... Quick update on my car. Have been messing around with lots of other stuff but got time to install another set of original used 26mm torsion bars. Have been driving th...

Re: Sagging rear
Interesting..... New from Porsche before installation. Just 10 test miles or so.
I assume that the cracking paint is due to over stressed material but is has not broken into two pieces!

Re: Advice on a 65 911 project
Lovely car!
I would not restore a car that nice.. There are too many restored 65's out there...
My advice would be to find someone who knows how to preserve a car.

Re: Sagging rear
Ok, a little update!
I reindexed the right hand side bar (again) took the car out for a spin and voila... Back where I started...
So, I would like to donate my RHS bar to science, any takers?
Thus im also in need of a good RHS 26mm torsion bar or a good, used set, anyone?
Regards

Re: Sagging rear
Thank you Chris and others! The last thing I tested was to put liberal amounts of rubber grease on the new (ER) bushings in order to minimize sticking bushings. But, im open to your input! I had a vague memory of it being made out of one piece hence one side affecting the other which isnt my case.. ...

Sagging rear
I have spent endless hours of work on my -71 911 with a sagging right rear.. Finally, after a long time of denial I measured the spring plate angle, set at 29 degrees and then drove the car hard and remeasured, now 23 degrees, riding on bump stops.... The spring plate splines look good, no sign of s...

Such a shame to see, really... Wonder where all the original parts end up!? On some R-clone perhaps...
