This post prompted me to get my village idiots organised. Had a great run around North Yorkshire with dinner at the Square and compass in north Rigton enroute Image

Re: Current insurer of choice

[/quote] Quite right - premiums are irrelevant - it’s all about claims. I had a lot of hassle with Hegarty when my 74 2.7 was stolen nearly 10;years ago. They eventually paid out OK but declined to take on my next 911…… I have been with Chubb for last five years - great service - one accident and se...

Couldn’t miss out on the 75th celebrations either. Popped along to York OPC who put breakfast on for our group. Great weather, got some freebies and left before it got too busy.Image

Re: Village car group run

very cool. We have a classic car run in our village every year as part of a village festival. The run usually starts with everyone in the church car park, where the scouts do bacon sandwiches on the bbq and lots of people come to look. Then the cars go off for a circa 80 mile run getting back around...

Re: Road tripping to the Dolomites

I think that is going to always be my dilemma on a euro trip. My 912E is a 2.2, so great for twistys etc, but on the autobahn some of the guys I was with were doing 130mph+ (in water pumpers), due to ongoing issues I was in the Boxster so could keep up. In the E there is no way and I would have been...

Re: Road tripping to the Dolomites

I love reading reports like this, keep them coming. On the B500, on a trip to Stuttgart a couple of weeks ago it was the worst road we went on. It was a tick in the box, I knew I would be disappointed and it had cameras, but I couldn't believe the last few miles into Baden Baden it was 50kph. So bor...

Re: Wobbly wing mirror

I read a tip of putting in the correct position and then doing something similar to the above but with superglue. Downside of this is if you ever need to adjust it again. Mine on the passenger side still drops and tbh I never use it anyway, so its just purely cosmetic now.

Re: DDK & Z-club breakfast meet at The Motorist - 14th May

Thanks James for organising, was good to put faces to names, rather than cars. Hopefully I will have a car I can park with you guys next time. Although I definitely won't be able to keep up on the drive there :)
