Hell Hole - panels or fabrication
I have now found someone to tackle the hell hole repair on my '74 2:0 litre 914. We are discussing whether to buy repair panels or if he will fabricate them. I have the engine shelf and battery support from a previous start to the job. However we need the inner wing and the piece where it curves dow...

Hell Hole welding - looking for a welder
I wonder if anyone can help me? I have a '74 914 2:0 litre which I took off the road some years ago to do a 4 to 5 stud conversion and "a few other things". One thing led to another and I ended up uncovering the "usual" hell hole corrosion. After removing the drivetrain I thought...

Drive Shaft Question
I bought mine from the local snap-on van, as already mentioned I had a mix of the OE & Allen headed bolts. Be careful to use the correct tool or else you can round off the OE ones..... It's worth replacing any damaged ones.

I thought I had someone to do it a year ago but for a variety of reasons they ended up not being able to take on the work. As I had just moved house to undertake a major house project ...

Thanks Gilbert, I have picked up a general purpose job that can be either a sack truck or a trolley, with a few mods should do the job nicely. I have some pics of the car as she is and will try work out how to post them soon. I'll keep snapping and share the progress. For those that asked I live nea...

Richard, I have owned both a rhd converted 914 and a lhd. The rhd was not a Crayford and took a long time to iron out the problems arising from a less than diligent conversion. However it was nice to have the convenience of rhd. However the first time I sat in a lhd 914 I realised that they were bet...

Trolley & Welder
After another long break due to job & family committments I am back in the garage struggling with my '74 2:0 litre 914..... To recap I took her off the road 4 years ago when I swopped wheels with pablo to go 5 stud and also to address "some rust" which had led to an MOT failure. Anyway...
