Re: Odometer stopped

Every other clock is lit up apart from the Speedometer.
As it's just one plug that plugs in the back of the speedo I'm not sure how I check to see there is power to the plug, I'm not great with auto electrics.

Re: Odometer stopped

Noticed a problem on my 964 Speedometer since I fitted it back, odometer/Tripometer all working fine but when driving back in the dark last week I noticed I couldn’t see the speedometer, no backlight, I’ve bought new bulbs thinking it would be rare for 3 to go, fitted the new bulbs and no different....

Re: Little trip in a Spitfire - no porsche content!

Amazing Gary, well done, seen it before, fancied it, until you said about safety and parachute.
Wouldn't fancy climbing out mid air when it's on it way down. Arrrrrrrrrgh!!!

Re: Positive Heads-Up for parts supplier

Bought my HD clutch from Max at Frazerpart when Mike Bainbridge was rebuilding and engine and gearbox, cheapest place around and fast service.
I remembered I'd bought the same clutch before when MB was rebuilding the gearbox on the 3.2 backdate a good 12 years ago.
Another thumbs up for Max.

Re: Odometer stopped

It was only around 3 weeks ago my odometer stopped in the 964, posted it off special delivery and was back in around 3 to 4 days.
Real fast turnaround at JDO.

Re: Odometer stopped

Very fidley job uncrimping and opening the clocks that's on a air cooled 911, I've had a few go in my time and always let Steve do it at JDO instruments. Only a small gear that goes that's cheap enough but I wouldn't want to damage the clock as replacements are expensive. http://www.jdo1.com/contact...

Re: PPI contact help please in and around the Doncaster area……

Hi Simon,
I'm 15 mins west of Doncaster and know what I'm looking for, have paint meter etc. for cars impact bumpers onwards, if you need a hand looking at something.
Have a few SCs, 3.2C, 964, 996, 997 etc.
Regards

Re: DDK Transport of a spare wheel

Cheers Ollie but I have a spare wheel where the valve has been damaged and I've seen how carriers throw things around, I'd rather spend the extra money to take care of the wheel.
You can't get those special valves anymore, they're easily damaged if they take a bang.

DDK Transport of a spare wheel

Before I pull the trigger on a Shiply delivery, I thought I'd just ask to see if anyone is passing Bedford and heading to or through South Yorkshire. I have a space saver inflatable spare wheel (911SC) to collect and rather than paying a random carrier I'd rather pay a fellow DDK'er. There is no rus...

Sorry I didn't make Sunday James, I'd not put it in my calendar and forgot about it. :(
Looked a good turn out as well.

Thanks James, Sundays no problem with me.
Will have to take easy on Saturday night as I'm at a gig.
