How does the thermal timeswitch work

My MFI squirters aren't working so cold start is a bit of a pain. A specialist has looked and checked the solenoid on top of the fuel filter housing and that works. If you activate that manually, the engine fires up a treat. They say it's the cold start switch. That looks to be the sensor in the hou...

Cheers

Re: Silverstone Classic:getting too expensive?

The classic is quite intriguing for me. I've been there twice, once as spectator and once as competitor. I don't get the "dead" feeling about Silverstone that is mentioned. I think the Classic is quite a lively event and I really enjoyed watching the racing both times. What I do struggle w...

Re: Check your pipes

I was under the impression that 105 octane works do nothing unless your engine was set up for it?

Re: Check your pipes

Thanks Andy, but my question was about the hose that failed rather than the right one to put on.

Re: 911 Hotrod

Mine is quieter to look at but goes like a bat out of hell if it's of interest.

I'm also figuring that the value is less than I posted!

So: ((+3 / 23) +1) ^4 = 163% or 63% increase
Goes to show what I know. I thought it was squared not 4 power!

The clue is in the thread ...

Hi Andy, if that was an answer to my question of which R variant of J30 that pipe is, I can't see it in the thread!

We might be trying out the Hoosier slicks for our ff2000 series and I'm the designated tester! If so, I'll report back

Re: Dunlop Racing L and M sections

Have a look at Hoosier sizes Graham. The Hoosier distributor in the UK was very keen to take advantage of the demise of Avon.

Re: Dunlop Racing L and M sections

I suspect you all know AVON Tyres close the end of this year, certainly no hillclimb tyres from Dec 2023 or a few months before. Are Cooper Tyres closing down as well? (I believe they're the same company as Avon.) Just to add some info here. Cooper bought Avon some years ago and now Goodyear have b...

Re: Dunlop Racing L and M sections

The elan GTS on Dunlops is a hoot. But there's definitely a point where more sideways is slower. In fact the elan is set up so that tidy is fast. On a different note, the quality of the Dunlops is shocking.
