First test is always the same.
Spray something flammable into the intake (brake cleaner, Ezi-start, etc) and see if it runs better. Which answers the question of a fuel problem or not.

Re: Digital power probe tool
Quite simple inside.
A video on the internals. This is the typical Amazon item and he actually mentions the weak spot in the video.

Digital power probe tool
The probe has a current limiter inside. So if you apply 12v or ground & accidentally create a short the wiring will not go up in smoke. That means you can’t power a starter directly but it’s safer. When put the loom back in, I didn’t put in the fuses. I used the probe to check each circuit &...

Re: Digital power probe tool
I had weak rear lights on one side. Probe the hot side of the bulb connector shows it’s got power. With the bulb in place probe the earth side & it also shows power. Disconnect the earth side wire & probe the wire & it indicated a connection to earth. Reattached & bulb is still dim. ...

Re: Digital power probe tool
Yes. I bought one & immediately bought one for my brother. Great kit.
The cheap one from Amazon is all you need but treat it nicely as the internal connection is a bit weak (I need to repair mine with a bit of solder).

Originals are hub centric.
These look like the original items. Right part number.

Re: 20mm wheel spacers for 7R
Probably the most common use, although the studs have a 911 part number (91133167100) so possibly had other uses.

Re: 20mm wheel spacers for 7R
If it’s helpful, the early (<85) 944 came with 21mm spacers on the rear & long wheel studs to match.
I might even have some of those studs in a drawer. Maybe.

Saw a snippet on a social of an academic who claimed that less than 5% of impact from food is due to the shipping & it wasn’t as important. Also rejecting that grass fed British beef is sustainable & still had very nasty impact. Comments were pointing out who funded the research org & th...

Re: Boxster Insurance renewal increase!
Just got renewal notice from LV Insurance for our C5 Aircross, up from 300 to 530, incl. multi-car discount and NCB protection (nothing else), a 76 % increase! Plus 9% for paying monthly. Just the day before, I received this note from them Screenshot LVinsurance.jpg Ditto. LV appear to be avoiding ...

Re: Tracking down my orginal 1959 356A 1.6 engine
Saw mention on VZi that in the 70’s a there were a few 356-buggies in NI that were used for Auto Tests. Perhaps a small chance it ended up over there?
