Re: 911 prices.....2006 - now this is depressing in 2013 :)
I have a clear memory of a Primrose Yellow '73 2.4S advertised in C&SC in the year 2000, beautiful condition, ex Chairman of Porsche Club GB owned. £16,000. Seemed a huge sum then... although it's a fairly big chunk even now...

Re: Hello from East London

Re: Colour - how important
I love these debates, with conflicting opinions, all equally valid. Except some. I agonised over colour choice. I wanted originality, but that means finding a car that left the factory in your favourite colour. And what are the chances of that? It's hard enough just finding a car. And some colours l...

Polo (or Bahia?) red SWB
Commercial Street, E1, Saturday afternoon. Looked super-clean from inside the Ten Bells.

Re: Hello from East London
Thanks for the welcome messages all. One week into shaking my car down, this was an unscheduled stop in Shoreditch. I was figuring out how to fix a loose gear knob with a crush washer and a fag packet while my Mrs fiddled with her camera. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8547/8709049993_12c66e1573_z.jp...

Hi Chet
Yes, that'd have been me. My commute takes me from East London to Clerkenwell and at the moment I'm enjoying taking all kinds of random detours. Be great to see your car sometime.

Hi Steve - you're right, it is a tight fit. I know opinions on sunroofs are divided, but they're super-handy in a narrow garage...

Hello from East London
Hi DDK David from London here. First of all, a seriously big thank you to DDK and all the regulars here for insight, entertainment and general Porsche sustenance over the last three years. I began looking for a 911 around 2009/10. I soon found DDK, signed up (and lurked), spoke to a couple of regula...
